ENGLAND | |||||
Warwickshire's area extends from north to south in the region of 50 miles and is approximately 34 miles wide. It has three major rivers, which are the Avon, Leam and Tame. Dairy-farming and sheep have been important, and flax has been grown. A wide range of manufacturing industries include ribbons, gauzes, other silk fabrics and thread, the main centre for these being Coventry; hardware, cutlery, steam engines and firearms, particularly in Birmingham; and toys and glass. | ||||||
