Aston
commonly means an eastern farmstead or estate. Middle Aston is between
North Aston and Steeple Aston.
To
travel by road to Middle Aston, take the M40 and exit at Junction
10 (one hour and five minutes from London approx, 55 minutes from
Birmingham approx). Take the B430 to Middleton Stoney, turn right
at the traffic lights there on to the B4030. Carry straight on to
Lower Heyford, and turn left at the crossroads towards the railway
station, still on the B4030. When you reach the traffic lights at
Hopcrofts Holt, turn right on to the A4260. Pass two signposts indicating
Steeple Aston on the right, and the third signpost will be for Middle
Aston (approximately a mile and a half from Hopcrofts Holt). Turn
right down that road directly to Middle Aston.
