This
photograph has Brightwell Park's ice hut in the foreground. The ice
hut was used to keep meat and other food cool during the summer, before
refrigerators were invented.
In
the background is the Georgian coach house or stable block, now used
as a private residence.
Another
remnant of Brightwell Park is its 17th century dovecote, designed
in the shape of a Greek cross.
