This house is set behind St Bartholomew, the parish church. The house
was actually the servants' quarters of Brightwell Park, the former
'big house'.
The
ruins of Brightwell Park are next to the 'servants' quarters', and
in its prime, the big house was twice the height of the house you
see here, with a ballroom occupying the whole of the top floor.
