means either fort of the warriors, or of a man named Bica. Around
1086 Bicester was known as Bernecestre.
To
travel to Bicester by road, use the M40. At Junction 9 (one hour
north of London approx, one hour south of Birmingham approx), turn
onto the A41 and travel three miles directly to Bicester.
