Farthinghoe
possibly means the hill-spur of the dwellers
among the ferns. In 1086 Farthinghoe was known as Ferningehoe.
To
travel by road to Farthinghoe, exit the M40 at Junction 11 (Banbury).
From the junction turn east towards Middleton Cheney and Brackley
on the A422. Continue on the A422 through Middleton Cheney and on
to Farthinghoe.
